As an organization, Black Sports Professionals North Texas (BSPNTX) is feeling the weight, pain and impact alongside all of you in our Black community. We cannot continue business as usual without acknowledging, and honoring, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd, Botham Jean, Atatiana Jefferson, Jordan Edwards and many others who have been senselessly killed. While this injustice has now elevated the issue of Black oppression and the systematic racism that plagues our country, it is not new. Seeing another Black life lost in vain is beyond maddening and has shaken us to the core. We are angry. We are sad. We are tired.
This is why our BSPNTX organization exists. These same issues spill into our companies, hiring processes, board rooms and the sports industry as a whole. We see them prominently daily. This is your reminder that we're all in this together. BSPNTX will continue with our mission to Connect, Empower and Advance black sports professionals throughout the business operations of the sports industry.
We are determined more than ever to do our part to end injustice and inequality; however, we'll need to engage everyone to win this fight.
